Tech billionaire Elon Musk sparked the criticism while responding to another user on X, who had accused Jews of hating white people and who had expressed indifference to anti-Semitism.

Disney and 5 Other Major Media Companies Paused Advertising on X

Major media advertisers including Disney and Apple are pausing all advertising on Elon Musk-owned social media network X. The other companies apart from these two are Universal, Warner Bros Discovery, Paramount, and Lionsgate.

Apple, one of the biggest advertisers on X, said it’s taking a pause in showing ads on the site. The White House condemned Musk’s statements Friday morning, lambasting them as “abhorrent”.

What Did Elon Musk Actually Say?

In response to an X post that claimed Jewish communities support “dialectical hatred against whites,” Musk said: “You have said the actual truth.”

Mr. Musk denies he is anti-Semitic and later said his comments referred not to all Jewish people but to groups like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and other unspecified “Jewish communities“.

In response to Musk’s tweet, Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter,

At a time when antisemitism is exploding in America and surging around the world, it is indisputably dangerous to use one’s influence to validate and promote antisemitic theories. #NeverIsNow.”

Later, the billionaire replied,

“You right that this does not extend to all Jewish communities, but it is also not just limited to ADL.” He added, “And, at the risk of being repetitive, I am deeply offended by ADL’s messaging and any other groups who push de facto anti-white racism or anti-Asian racism or racism of any kind. I’m sick of it. Stop now.”

Anyway, in the next few days, it will be seen how these comments by Musk decrease X’s ad revenue.
