Scarlett Johansson Will Return to MCU Under 1 Weird Condition: “I’m here for that”

From Iron Man 2 to Avengers: Endgame and Black Widow, her story has seen ups and downs. It has seen her change for the better and it has helped her grow not just as a person but also as a superhero. Although her fate was sealed by the hands of the soul stone, fans often found themselves wanting to see more of the character.

There had been various rumors on separate occasions that stated her returning, claiming that the Black Widow would be able to come back to life in some way or another. However, there was no clarity regarding the matter, with rumors remaining to be as is. Johansson finally addressed the situation, confirming exactly what would attract her to the role again if the opportunity were to present itself.

Scarlett Johansson Only Wants One Reason to Come Back as Black Widow

Speaking on the Today Show, Scarlett Johansson was asked about the ongoing rumors regarding Black Widow’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many came to believe that Avengers: Secret Wars would bring her back after she fell to her death in Avengers: Endgame. Seeing that Black Widow was an underwhelming film, it is only natural for fans to want to see more of her. However, the actress took to addressing these rumors finally.

“I feel like that’s kinda the end, right? Could it be like a vampire version of the character? I’m here for that! Or a zombie version.”

Johansson confirmed that her character got the ending she had been yearning for and to continue that would mean to deter from the legacy she left behind. It would tamper with Natasha’s death, one that would lose all meaning upon her return. If she were to return though, she would like to return as a zombie.

Scarlett Johansson Wants a Zombie Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson talked about how if Black Widow managed to return without being revived, she would be open to the idea of going back to the franchise as well. The actress admitted while talking on the Today Show that if her character were to be a vampire or a zombie, then she would be okay with returning as Natasha Romanoff. It would be an interesting take on her character, one that she would not shy away from exploring.

When asked about whether or not she was approached for the role once again, the actress chose not to reply. She stated that although she wants to tell the audience about it, it is not something she is open to sharing just yet.
