“They just recreated Infinity War ending”: Marvel Fans Get Teary Eyed After a Terrifying Moment From Tom Hiddleston’s Loki 2

Marvel fans remember the trauma that they went through in 2018 when the Russo brothers released Avengers: Infinity War for the people. With Thor stabbing Thanos on the shoulder and Thanos’ iconic one-liner, “You should have gone for the head”, half of the universe turns to ash and slips out of existence.

Well, an eerily similar thing happened in another MCU show. With Tom Hiddleston in the mix as the lead actor portraying the role of Loki, Marvel fans suffered another trauma as season 2 of the time-slipping series sets off an explosive episode that can change the entirety of the MCU!

Being afraid of ending up alone, Loki’s worst fears came true when Mobius and all his friends alongside the TVA were pulled out of existence and turned into noodles (graphically). Taking to Twitter to discuss Season 2 Episode 4 of Loki, Marvel Fans were instantly reminded of the end of Avengers: Infinity War but this is way worse!

Being a beloved character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige and Tom Hiddleston had no idea that the series would garner so much success. As per the Marvel CEO, there was no plan for a Loki series until after Avengers: Endgame had finished production!

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige revealed that it was actually Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney who suggested to Feige that they should develop a show based on Loki and that the scene of Loki dying in Avengers: Endgame was just a motive point.

“[That scene] was really more of a wrinkle so that one of the missions that the Avengers went on in Endgame could get screwed up and not go well. Which is what required Cap and Tony to go further back in time to the ’70s. I think the notion that we had left this hanging loose end with Loki gave us the in for what a Loki series could be. So by the time [Endgame] came out, we did know where it was going.”

That was indeed a great decision since the series received a rating of 8.2/10 on IMDB and a whopping 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2021 iconic series is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
