LEGO Horizon Adventures was one of the highlights of the previous State of Play and the gaming community has mixed opinions about the upcoming project. Many has assumed that this game is a remake of the original story through the use of LEGOs but new details suggest otherwise.
Sony has a lot of faith in this franchise and believed this collaboration will broaden its horizons, pun intended. The fans are still unsure of what to think about this game and is already beginning to wonder if this title is worth picking up.
LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Not a Faithful Remake
Sony is banking hard on this first-party franchise and wanted to explore more stories through different formats and mediums. The company is about to go overboard with content and LEGO Horizon Adventures is one of many more projects to come. The State of Play revealed gameplay and a few familiar story beats, however, new details suggest that this is not a faithful remake nor a parody and could be something in between or entirely new.

The original game is much more mature and complicated when it comes to combat which makes this spinoff adventure a breath of fresh air. Sony believed that the innocent and family-friendly nature of LEGO could help cover more ground in the demographic and is most likely targeted at the younger side.
Perhaps this upcoming game will be tweaked and adjusted to make it more suitable and appropriate for children to play. There are a rare few moments in the original game where the theme can get too dark and intense which could potentially harm the youth.
PlayStation Fans Are Still Interested in LEGO Horizon Adventure
Perhaps this project is a trial run for PlayStation and more LEGO spinoffs inspired by first-party exclusives are in the works. This franchise has loads of potential and Sony is making the most of it by being more inclusive and covering all age groups for maximum output.
The younger side of the gaming community is often being left out by because of the mature theme and nature of most major PlayStation first-party exclusives and this is a brilliant move to change the status quo. Sony is on the offensive this console generation and will try to appeal to the masses.
The gaming community is thinking too hard of who this game is for or what it is about, rather than accept it for what it is and make the most of it. The length of the game is at a respectable 7-8 hour mark and fan of LEGO games are in for a treat with the lore of Horizon.
This game along with Astro Bot will carry Sony this year and the approach to go broader with family-friendly franchises is a genius move. Team Asobi is working on something special and gaming insiders claim the game is worthy of being nominated for Game of the Year.
