Kurt Angle is one of the most renowned in-ring performers of all time. The Pittsburgh native was the first WWE signee to win an Olympic Gold Medal at the 1996 edition of the Olympics and made a huge impact on the company.
He made his debut in WWE at the 1999 Survivor Series event and embarked on a journey that made him a marquee name in the company. However, things came to an end in the global juggernaut for Angle as he left WWE in 2006.
This led to Kurt Angle signing with another promotion that was making strides at the time, TNA Wrestling. He became one of the most monumental and biggest signings for the company and spent a decade there. However, there is always a thought of how Angle’s career would have turned out had he stayed in WWE post-2006 and not chosen to sign with Dixie Carter’s promotion.

Kurt Angle, during his tenure in WWE, became one of the top-tier and captivating WWE superstars. His amazing in-ring acumen, character work, and exceptional connection with the audience who chanted ‘You Suck’ everything he made his appearance made him a top draw.
Moreover, Angle became a 6-time World Champion and earned multiple WWE accolades during his stay as an active performer. But after spending almost seven years in the company, the Olympic Hero left the promotion and signed with TNA Wrestling.
Upon his arrival in TNA, fans saw a completely different side of Kurt Angle as an in-ring performer. Angle took his athleticism to the next level with insane feats, high-flying moves and more stellar showdowns with top stars like Samoa Joe, Sting, Jeff Jarrett and many others. Moreover, Kurt Angle stated that he was dealing with a lot of injuries and did not get sufficient time off to heal. This could have resulted in his career getting cut short, and he would not been able to take his fame to much greater heights, which happened due to his decade-long tenure in TNA.
But in another scenario, had WWE given time to Angle to heal, he could have been part of more dream matches with superstars who became big names after his exit. This included stars like Batista and even John Cena, whom Angle was his first opponent, but this time in his prime as the WWE flagship star.

Kurt Angle spent ten years of his life in TNA to take his wrestling legacy to the next level. Following his exit from the company and having short tenures on the independent circuit, Angle returned to WWE in 2017.
He was announced as the headlining inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017. This led to The Olympic Hero taking the role of onscreen General Manager for Monday Night RAW post-WrestleMania 33.
The Wrestling Machine also wrestled multiple matches during his time as RAW GM. He had his retirement match in WWE at WrestleMania 35 in a losing effort to Baron Corbin despite his wish to have John Cena as his final opponent. Following that, Angle has been making sporadic appearances and continues to be a team player for the company.
