However, it’s not just Sinners that have brought so much fame for the acclaimed director. Ryan Coogler has experience working with Marvel films before, and some of the hints that he has been dropping might suggest that he could save Mahershala Ali’s doomed MCU film, Blade!

It was 2018 when Coogler directed and released the iconic Chadwick Boseman film, Black Panther. The film got critical acclaim for representing a new side of the MCU and Coogler’s name was put on the Hollywood map.
Naturally, we could assume that the director could be given another chance to make it big again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This second chance could coincide with a movie that has been indefinitely put on hold, which fans had been anticipating for years!
It seems that even the Sinners director wants to direct that movie since he has been dropping hints through indirect conversations in interviews and talks. In a recent tweet, Coogler revealed that his favorite character is Blade.

This single answer could potentially mean that director Ryan Coogler is interested in directing the Mahershala Ali movie, which has been getting delayed and canceled countless times.
The film was initially set for a release date in 2025, however, unexpected delays and countless production changes caused the film to get shoved farther behind. After a while, fans lost interest in knowing about it, and that’s where it has been alleged that Blade, which was supposed to be released in 2025, has been shelved.

That’s not just us saying it because we know that he is capable. Millions of fans also agree that iconic director Ryan Coogler will be a fine choice for the director’s seat since he is the only one who could save Mahershala Ali’s Blade from certain destruction.
Sinners has been getting worldwide fame for being too damn good. The irony is that the film is about vampires and the heroes trying to fight them. Sounds similar to the plot of another film, right?
Well, Mahershala Ali’s now-canceled Blade had a similar plot since Blade is a vampire hunter. Fans agree that Ryan Coogler is the only director who could redeem Blade if given the chance.

That is genuinely a good question. Why is Marvel not hiring Ryan Coogler to wave his hands over the now-doomed Blade project? The director has brought nothing but fame and earnings for the MCU and for his personal movies as well.
What remains to be seen is whether Marvel Studios is willing to redeem Mahershala Ali’s Blade or not. Fans would love it if Ryan Coogler could helm the project as its director and save the movie from destruction, but nothing can be confirmed or denied at this moment. Sinners currently stands at a rating of 8.2/10 on IMDb and a whopping 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. A solid indication that with Coogler at the helm, Blade still has hope!
Sinner is currently screening in theaters across the world.
