Did Blake Lively Lie Under Oath About ‘It Ends With Us’: Justin Baldoni’s Supporter Finds Video Proof
Blake Lively’s legal drama with Justin Baldoni just took another tumultuous turn as one of the director-actor’s supporters pretty much proved the actress to be lying under oath about It Ends with Us. The lie caught was about whether she had heard about Colleen Hoover’s book before agreeing to work on the movie as Lily Bloom.
As pointed out by @baldonitruthmatters on Instagram, in her deposition, the Gossip Girl actress was initially asked to confirm that she “agreed to play the role of Lily Bloom in It Ends with Us at the end of 2022,” to which Lively agreed. Then she was asked, “Prior to that, had you heard about the book with the same title?” This time, her reply was,
Prior to agreeing? [Q: Yes] Yes.
But while she claimed on the deposition that she had heard about the book before taking on the role of Lily, her previous Run-Through with Vogue interview had her claiming that she didn’t know about Colleen Hoover’s book at all. Here’s what she said,
I actually didn’t know the book, which I feel like I live under a rock for not knowing. I mean, her batting average for books that make the bestseller’s list is wild. Like, I’ve never seen, it’s like, must be rigged.
Looking at both of her contradicting statements, it’s evident that Blake Lively lied, either when she said she knew of the book or when she said she didn’t.
Blake Lively’s Lie During Deposition Could Make Her Look “Terrible” In Front of a Jury
If Blake Lively indeed lied under oath during her deposition, then things could possibly look really ‘terrible’ for her in front of the jury during her trial, if the truth comes out. This is because, if she can lie about such a small thing, then it raises the doubt that she can possibly lie about other things as well, which does not paint such a good image, after all.
As reporter Kjersti Flaa explained in her latest video,
Her lying about a tiny little thing like this makes her look terrible in front of a jury if it ever comes to that, because, if she can lie about something like that, what else can she lie about? And I think that’s the narrative they’re going for here. And that’s why they asked that specific question.
Flaa continued, emphasizing how such a set of questions could help Justin Baldoni’s team: Because if the Green Lantern actress does get proven to be a liar, then her accusations don’t really stand a chance of ruining Baldoni’s reputation anymore. She said,
I’m sure they asked her questions that they knew she was going to contradict herself because there are so many interviews out there where she said one thing to one person and said something else to someone else, and she’s been caught lying so much. Now they have that in her deposition, which is really golden for Justin Baldoni’s team.
That makes perfect sense, because contradicting statements recorded often lead to trouble. That said, did Lively just dig her own grave? We’ll let her court trial answer that.

Among all the people that Blake Lively’s legal team has subpoenaed and dragged into her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, journalist Megyn Kelly is yet another name.
As she recently revealed on an episode of her SiriusXM show, the Lily Bloom-portrayer’s lawyers reportedly sought Kelly’s private communications, as part of the lawsuit, actually subpoenaing her to obtain the same. She called Lively a “narcissistic bully” before going on to declare (via the New York Post),
[Lively] backed down and has now missed the deadline to pursue her harassment of me and my team any further. We gave her absolutely nothing. Not one document, not one record, not one communication. No world would I ever, ever allow my team’s communications to be turned over to a third party.
So far, Lively appears to be under serious fire from all sides, as not only are her past comments proving to be contradictory, but she is even being slammed with tremendous criticism with each passing day.
