“What goes great with beef”: Why Is 50 Cent’s Super Bowl Commercial Causing a Massive Diddy Feud Online?

50 Cent is once again making headlines for his trolling ways, but this time by partnering up with DoorDash for a Super Bowl commercial (see TikTok). Called ‘The Big Beef’ to symbolize the rivalry of the football fandom, the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, brought a whole new edge and meaning to the beef.

Having sparred with several celebrities over the years, including the infamous Sean “Diddy” Combs in recent times, the rapper took a dig at him as well. Referring to himself as the King of Trolling, Jackson states he is done beefing but picks up a DoorDash delivery bag with several items.

Each of these items is carefully placed to take a dig at celebrities like Diddy and more, while the rapper goes on to voice that no matter what kind of “beef” is going on, DoorDash is always there to deliver.

What Does Each Item in 50 Cent’s Super Bowl Commercial Mean?

50 Cent’s Super Bowl commercial has won fans with its hilarious marketing and pettiness. In the campaign, each item that the rapper takes out of the DoorDash bag is a reference to his long-standing feuds with other celebrities. If you were unable to understand what each item meant, here is a breakdown.

The first item that he takes out is a children’s Learning Your ABC picture book. It is a reference to his beef with Floyd Mayweather, whom he has mocked for allegedly not being able to read, and even challenged him to read a page of Harry Potter in exchange for a $750,000 donation to charity (via TikTok).

He also takes out an alarm clock, while stating that he is always on time. This is a reference to Ja Rule’s song Always on Time, whose feud with 50 Cent dates back to 1999.

The rapper also takes several digs at Diddy, with whom he has a longstanding feud. First, he takes out a packet of cheese puffs, which is a reference to the incarcerated rapper’s past moniker, Puffy. He also takes out a pair of combs before throwing them behind him, stating he didn’t know they sell combs as well.

But the best one is reserved for the last, when he pulls out a bottle of Cognac, explaining how it is the perfect drink to pair with beef, stating it is aged four years or 50 months, but who’s keeping count? This is an obvious reaction to the controversial 50-month prison sentence handed to Diddy

While the Super Bowl is slated for this Sunday, 50 Cent’s DoorDash commercial is going viral for the hilarious premise. While fans are praising his genius, the rapper himself got candid about what drove him to take the commercial.

In a statement, he revealed (via Billboard):

I’ve always been about keeping it real, so when DoorDash approached me about a social campaign around beef, it felt authentic from the start. They’ve got everything you need, and just like with beef, the receipts speak for themselves.

Well, despite some amount of fan criticism, with some calling the rapper too petty, 50 Cent remains unbothered.
