The entire production was filmed and set in Victoria, Australia, with Christian Schwochow directing and executive producing. Kris Mrksa adapted the story and serves as an executive producer. The series comes from Ryan David Jahn’s 2011 novel The Dispatcher, but Apple’s adaptation changes several important pieces of the original setup.
