Over ten days ago, Megyn Kelly, an allegedly problematic reporter went ahead to discuss issues like plastic surgery and how it impacts young women and men. In her talk, Kelly used the popular actress Erin Moriarty for allegedly using surgical means to alter her appearance thus negatively impacting her fans and followers.
Responding to the accusations, The Boys actress went on to quit social media and debunk the ‘misogynistic video’ and stated how mentally horrified she feels after all this ridicule and insults. However, fans, instead of sympathizing with the actress, are actually siding with Kelly and calling her claims to be true.
Erin Moriarty Quits Social Media Following Plastic Surgery Accusations By Megyn Kelly
Megyn Kelly, on the January 17 episode of her The Megyn Kelly Show talked about plastic surgery and called it no less than a social illness. Accusing actress Erin Moriarty of using the medical procedure to change her appearance and influencing young girls and people negatively, Kelly had stated,
“It’s not about an objection to plastic surgery, it’s about an obsession with turning yourself into this fake version of yourself. I find it like a sign of mental illness. I really want to get in the heads of these young girls and say, ‘Please don’t do this.'”
The reporter further went on to show what she labeled as the brand-new photo of Moriarty to show the drastic difference between her alleged changed-up appearance. Calling it an AI-generated face, Kelly’s alleged accusations led to heaps of hate for The Boys star.
Responding to the claim, Erin Moriarty debunked the reporter’s claims while expressing how hurt she felt in an Instagram post.
“This is something I truly never anticipated writing. We’re all subject to levels of bullying throughout our lives but I am horrified and felt that I deserved to take a second to address these things. I had no idea what was going on, to be honest, because I’ve had one of the most challenging weeks of my life.”
Further adding that the photo was a decade old before she was of Legal Drinking Age, her revelation led to fans only turning against her.
Fans Side With Megyn Kelly Instead Of Erin Moriarty
As soon as Erin Moriarty decided to reveal that she would be leaving Instagram after the ‘hurtful’ allegations of plastic surgery by Megyn Kelly and explained her side of the things, fans went on to actually side with Kelly instead of Moriarty.
Many of them took to social media, particularly X, and posted:

If Erin Moriarty didn’t have any plastic surgery, she could sue the shit out of Megyn Kelly for defamation, but just for the reason that she’s not suing her you know she’s had plastic surgery. There’s no question your nose doesn’t change its shape entirely any other way

A similar wave of comments can be seen on her Instagram post, however, whether it was plastic surgery or not, many fans also allege dragging somebody down is never right. This incident proves that the world needs to become a better and safer place for people to co-exist irrespective of their choices, a sentiment many fans of Moriarty also expressed.
