The Summer Game Fest, featuring numerous announcements such as Phantom Blade 0, Funcom’s Dune: Awakening, and Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, greatly excited the fans. Numerous major companies took the time to reveal gameplay and other kinds of projects. Riot Games, the creators of League of Legends, has confirmed the release of one of the other popular games on consoles, starting the first testing soon.

The studio has released a very impressive trailer showcasing the gameplay of Valorant running on consoles. According to the company, it will be available on both Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5.

Players who want to play a limited beta of this version can already register to participate on the game’s official website. Riot Games hasn’t confirmed the official release date of the console version yet.

Some Fans Are Not Excited by This News

Some fans are not very happy with this announcement.

The announcement of the free-to-play title coming to the console did not elicit a positive response. Some users on X/Twitter were saying that this kind of launch didn’t make sense because no one would play this game on those platforms.

Other users said that if the studio used cross-play, the auto-aim complaints would make the developers’ lives miserable, especially because of the toxic community that this game has.

Some fans have even said that the gameplay shown at the event was not the actual console gameplay and Riot Games lied. They added that the controller aim is different that what was shown.

Valorant is one of the most popular shooter titles out there and has a massive community. The developers trying to get a whole player base is not wrong but fans are not impressed as console players might have the edge with auto-aim.

The cross-play is another big thing being discussed but it hasn’t been announced by the developer yet. More details about the game are expected to be shared in the coming days.
