Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show is an “Embarrassment” But She is Still Celebrating: With Love, Meghan Reviews and Reactions

With Love, Meghan premiered Tuesday on Netflix, and the reviews are abysmal. Meghan Markle, in her latest attempt to win over audiences, invites us into her carefully curated world of backyard honey, homemade bath salts, and bizarre, life-changing conversations—like explaining to Mindy Kaling why the Duchess should be addressed as “Sussex.”
Through her 8-episode show, although Meghan Markle hopes to dazzle us with her lifestyle, the show feels less like an intimate peek into her life and more like an extended lecture on how to be effortlessly perfect. Turns out viewers aren’t buying her ego trip because people want drama, not a royal-infused TED Talk on self-care and social status.
Reviews for Meghan Markle’s Netflix show took a nosedive
Meghan Markle has returned to Netflix with a new show, after previously sharing juicy Royal tea in her 2022 documentary series Harry & Meghan. Her recent addition, the 8-episode show titled With Love, Meghan, premiered on Tuesday, wherein people got a glimpse of a behind-the-scenes look at her life.
Now, while the audience had expected a little drama, maybe a few revelations, or at least something real—what they got instead was an infomercial about how to be Meghan Markle—because, apparently, we’ve all been doing life wrong. At this point, people are confused about whether to refer to her as an actress in the show or the Duchess.
From brewing her own honey to crafting homemade bath salts for her guests, Meghan Markle tried selling an aesthetic through the show, not a story. Most importantly, what took us all by surprise was her lecture to Mindy Kaling on why Markle should be addressed as Sussex (because that’s what she considers her family name). Yikes.
Quite naturally, after watching Meghan Markle’s luxurious, self-indulgent ego trip, critics and audiences couldn’t hold back their reviews. The Guardian predicted this “pointless” show to be her final collaboration with Netflix, “unless it becomes a ratings smash”. So once again, it turns out Markle failed at rebranding herself, since her Royal exit.
Netizens’ reactions aren’t any good for With Love, Meghan
Moving on, the audience and netizens’ reactions to Meghan Markle’s Netflix series turned out to be even worse than critics. In short, if critics were harsh, social media reactions turned out to be brutal. Viewers didn’t hold back, turning X into a roasting ground for the Duchess of Sussex.
Believe it or not, the social media reactions are enough to make Netflix regret this deal, they don’t even require professional critic reviews. Overall, what seems to be the problem is—nobody relates to Meghan Markle. Although she wishes for her audience to crave her lifestyle, it’s instead inspiring people to cancel their Netflix subscription.
With Love, Meghan is available to watch on Netflix.
