Charlize Theron’s 1st Date Was Weird But It Was Not as Scary as Drew Barrymore’s Where Her Life Was at Risk

Even Hollywood’s finest can’t escape the nightmare of a bad first date! All those movie moments with soft winds, violin playing in the background, and perfect chemistry? Total fantasy. Just ask Charlize Theron and Drew Barrymore, two of the most stunning women on the planet, who’ve had their fair share of awkward romantic misfires.
Their experiences prove that no one, not even A-list beauties, is safe from dating disasters. Here is what happened!
Charlize Theron’s first date took a nose dive, literally!
When it comes to awkward first dates, even Oscar-winning beauty Charlize Theron isn’t exempt from the weird and unexpected. Long before the red carpets and A-list status, she had one unforgettable dating disaster that still lives rent-free in her memory, and honestly, fans can see why.
It all began with what seemed like a dream night. Theron, in her 20s at the time, went out with a ridiculously good-looking guy. He picked her up, took her to dinner, and totally charmed her. The evening went by in a blink, and by the end of it, she was feeling pretty confident that this one had real potential.
The cherry on top moment came when she was at her doorstep. As the car pulled up, she gave a clear “yes” for a goodnight kiss. And it worked. The kiss was, actually, great. Sparks, check. Chemistry, check. So far, so swoon-worthy.
But then, things took a turn. While speaking about the date on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she revealed,
He pulled away and whispered, ‘Make out with my nose.’I swear on my life, I’ve never forgotten it because I’ve yet to meet another person who likes to have somebody make out with their nose. I’ve never met another person who wants to do that.
Suddenly, the dreamy vibe went straight out the window. Whatever romance had been blooming took a detour. Needless to say, the moment was not followed by a second date.
While the romance fizzled out instantly, the story itself became pure comedy gold. It’s not every day you get to see something like this!
When Drew Barrymore’s first date turned into a murder mystery moment!
Drew Barrymore, on the other hand, once found herself in a situation that felt more like a deleted scene from a horror movie than a romantic evening. Despite being a seasoned scream queen, even she didn’t see this twist coming.
The story began innocently enough. She agreed to go out with a guy who seemed safe, handsome, charming, and was mutual to several of her friends. So when he invited her to his apartment, she accepted. What she didn’t expect was a full-on home renovation project in progress.
As the two bonded over their shared love of interior design, things took a strange turn. During a casual house tour, he led her down to the basement, yes, the basement, under the “pretense ” of showing her his laundry setup.
That’s when she saw a giant roll of clear plastic wrap, absurdly oversized and far too ominous for comfort. Suddenly, the room felt less like a tour and more like the set of a true crime documentary. Finally, her instincts kicked in. She quickly made her way back upstairs, laughing off her fear but internally ready to make a run for it if needed. She, on her show, The Drew Barrymore Show (via Facebook), revealed that she told the guy,
You know, I know we don’t really know each other, but I was really afraid that you were going to murder me. It totally bonded us, We knew each other for a couple years and would see each other here and there and made more friends than, like, dating, but we always joked about it. The night I thought he was gonna murder me.
To her relief, the night ended without any incident or bloodshed. Instead of romance, the experience sparked a weird but lasting friendship. While it didn’t lead to love, it definitely led to one of her most memorable dating stories.
