FBI officials and online sleuths are circling in on a hair-raising coincidence: a digital artist from Utah allegedly released a disturbing track weeks before Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University. The shooter, described as a college-aged individual, remains unidentified.

Still, speculation is mounting after images released by the FBI bear a startling resemblance to Skye Valadez, a self-proclaimed ‘she/her’ musician whose online presence is now under a digital microscope (per The Gateway Pundit).

Kirk, 31, was reportedly struck by a single high-powered rifle round while speaking at UVU during his American Comeback Tour. As first reported by The Gateway Pundit on Thursday, a leaked ATF document reveals the rifle recovered near the scene of Kirk’s assassination contained cartridges etched with slogans and symbols linked to transgender and Antifa ideology.

Conservative commentator Steven Crowder published the document on X hours before it was addressed in the official press briefing.

What’s stirring deeper unease is that Valadez, already known for controversial music titles such as Charlie Kirk’s Death Isn’t Enough for Me, allegedly posted these tracks under the project God’s Finest Scalpel. Though deleted posthaste, screenshots spread like wildfire across Reddit, X, and 4chan.

While no formal suspect has been identified, and the FBI has yet to confirm any link between Valadez and the shooter, netizens are doggedly convinced that this is more than a fluke.

The FBI’s release of images showing a person of interest (per NBC News), dressed in a black shirt, cap, and sunglasses, sent the internet into a frenzy. Almost instantly, digital communities across Reddit and 4chan zeroed in on Skye Valadez, an enigmatic Utah-based artist known more for avant-garde music than political ideology, until now.

Valadez’s project, God’s Finest Scalpel, gained sudden notoriety after the SoundCloud track Charlie Kirk Dead at 31 was reportedly posted weeks before the fatal Charlie Kirk shooting. Another track, even more ominously titled Charlie Kirk’s Death Isn’t Enough for Me, added fuel to an already-raging fire.

Adding to the intrigue, Valadez’s Facebook account showed Salt Lake City as their listed location, until it vanished, replaced with the cryptic message: “leave me alone.” But no smoking gun, at least yet. While screenshots and side-by-side comparisons of Valadez and the FBI’s person of interest gained viral traction on social media platforms, federal officials have remained tight-lipped.

The Gateway Pundit noted that Valadez’s Facebook was pulled down shortly after screenshots began surfacing. Attempts to contact the artist went nowhere. In a post before deletion, Valadez reportedly denied any involvement, calling the timing a “coincidence”. 

However, with no suspect officially named, the digital witch hunt marches on.

While America grapples with the political shockwave of Charlie Kirk’s death, those closest to him are mourning the man behind the movement. Erika Kirk, his widow and mother of their two young children, has been notably silent, except for a Bible verse she shared on X shortly after the shooting:

Psalm 46:1 — God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Erika, a former Miss Arizona and host of her own podcast, stood with Kirk at countless events, championing traditional values, marriage, and faith-based living. She’s studying for a doctorate in Biblical Studies at Liberty University and often references her husband as “the spiritual head of the family.” Erika declared:

I do not love my husband with a shallow, fleeting fondness. I love him with the gravity of a vow. With the steady fire of a heart that knows it was God who chose him for me and me for him. And in that choosing, He gave me a man who causes my soul to bend the knee in gratitude.

Charlie Kirk’s own words about Erika were steeped in conviction (via Instagram):

Second to accepting Jesus, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. She is bold, smart, loyal, and beautiful.

The couple married in 2021 and had two children, whose names they kept private for safety. Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and other big names have offered condolences, emphasizing Kirk’s impact on American political discourse.
