The brief summary spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1162 have been recently shared on the internet, and they have shed more light on the God Valley flashback, currently ongoing within the story. From Imu’s appearance to Kaido getting his Devil Fruit power, the upcoming One Piece chapter is going to have many exciting developments.
However, the majority of the focus for the next chapter is going to be on Rocks D. Xebec, as he not only saves his lover Eris and son Blackbeard, but he also takes on Saint Figarland Garling. This battle has the potential to be the most thrilling development within the entire God Valley Incident, if Eiichiro Oda plans it perfectly.
Xebec Is Proving Himself to Be Stronger Than Everybody Else
According to the spoilers of One Piece Chapter 1162, Xebec was successful in his mission to save Eris and Blackbeard. As he helped them escape, Eris asked Xebec to meet her and his son in Lulusia Kingdom (the one that the World Government destroyed after Levely). He then went on to clash with Figarland Garling, the strongest representative of the Celestial Dragons in God Vallery.
The spoilers confirmed that Xebec managed to defeat Garling, proving himself to be stronger than everybody else. While Garling’s powers have been kept a mystery by Eiichiro Oda, his status as one of the Five Elders and the former commander of the Holy Knights suggests that he is incredibly strong. However, for Xebec to defeat him so easily is proof that he was the most powerful pirate of the old era.
This also adds more thrill to the next clash of Xebec, as the spoilers point out that Imu entered the God Valley by possessing Saturn’s body, and Xebec, Whitebeard, and Kaido confront him. This battle could very well be the deciding factor of God Valley, as the spoilers reveal that Imu has already transformed the other members of the Davy Clan into demons and will use them as soldiers for his army in One Piece.
What if Katakuri Had Kaido’s Devil Fruit?
One of the most interesting developments in the upcoming chapter, according to the spoilers, was a brief clash between Big Mom and Kaido for the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. Big Mom took the Devil Fruit for her son Katakuri, but Kaido intervened and ambushed her. He snatched the Devil Fruit from her hands and ate it immediately, thus gaining his iconic Azure Dragon form in One Piece.
The intriguing element of this development is what if Big Mom had actually given this Devil Fruit to her son, Katakuri? Katakuri is one of the strongest One Piece characters and has the power of Mochi Mochi no Mi. While it is not the strongest Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, Katakuri managed to use it to its full potential and became incredibly strong. If he had the power of Kaido’s Devil Fruit, he would have been on a completely different level.
The power of a mythical Zoan Devil Fruit would have made Katakuri even stronger than he already is, and then maybe he wouldn’t have lost to Luffy. Oda created an intrigue by introducing this plotline in the One Piece narrative. While we will never find out the answer to that, it is still quite fascinating to imagine how drastically the story would have changed.
