Neverness to Everness (NTE) offers several free S-Rank Arcs that players can unlock simply by exploring the world and completing hidden activities. One of the best free options is the Day Off Arc, a powerful S-Rank Arc that boosts ATK and helps characters recover Ultimate Energy more consistently.
However, many players completely miss the Day Off Arc because its entire questline is unmarked in-game. Unlike most Arcs that are earned from defeating bosses for the first time, Day Off is tied to a hidden Eclipse side quest that requires players to visit multiple locations at specific times of the day.
Here is everything you need to know about unlocking the Day Off Arc in NTE, along with its stats, effects, and best characters.
How to Obtain Day Off Arc for Free in Neverness To Everness (NTE)

Before you can unlock the Arc, you must first complete both Prologue I and Prologue II, including the section where you nullify MANISH and finish the commission quest.
Once that is done, teleport to the BaC Headquarters phone booth. After spawning, look to your right to find Eclipse standing there, confused about humanity. Speak with her to begin the hidden questline.

After the first interaction, you will need to find Eclipse in four different locations across the map. For every encounter, you need to meet a few requirements (otherwise you won’t find her):
- Set the in-game time between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Change the weather to Sunny
- Visit the correct location the next day
First Location: Film Orbit Studio Rooftop

Travel to the Eibon Phonebooth and go to the rooftop of Film Orbit Studio. Eclipse will be observing people and discussing labor and human purpose.
Second location: Oops! Chest Gift Shop Rooftop

Next, head to the rooftop of the Oops! Chest Gift Shop in Illusion Town. Eclipse will continue her thoughts about humanity while overlooking a nearby school.
Third Location: Coastal Highway

Go to the entrance of the beach area along the Coastal Highway (opposite the Film Orbit Studio). Here, Eclipse tries to understand the concept of happiness.
Final location: Tikal Bridge

The final location is the top of the first bridge arc at Tikal Bridge. You may need to climb the cables to reach the top, though characters like Nanally can make this much easier with wall-running abilities.
After completing all four encounters, return to the BaC Headquarters and speak to Eclipse once more. She decides to join the Appraiser after appreciating your efforts to help her understand humanity, rewarding you with the Day Off Arc.
If you want to max the weapon tiers, Day Off can eventually be purchased from the Arc Shop with Tri-Keys.
Is Day Off Worth Using in NTE?

Day Off is a pretty good option for various characters if you don’t have their signature arcs. It is an S-Rank Solid Arc focused on increasing Attack and improving Ultimate Energy generation, making it useful for both DPS and support characters.
| Main Stats | Value |
|---|---|
| Attack | 33 at Level 1 512 at Level 80 |
| Charge Efficiency | 13.2% at Level 1 33% at Level 80 |
The Arc’s passive skill, Eclipse, provides:
- 30% increased ATK for the wearer
- Activates a special Eclipse state lasting 40 seconds. During the effect, defeating enemies restores 6 Ultimate Energy
- Can trigger up to 5 times
- Cooldown: 300 seconds
This passive and its substat make Day Off especially useful for characters that rely heavily on their Ultimate abilities. The best characters (only solid units can activate the arc passive) that would make the most of this passive will be Zero (MC) and Haniel, as they both scale with ATK and actively use their ultimates.
Even though the quest is completely hidden and requires several time-specific interactions, the reward is absolutely worth the effort for both new and veteran players.
Why can’t I find Eclipse at the quest locations?
Eclipse only appears during a very specific time window. You must set the in-game time between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM and make sure the weather is set to Sunny.
Is Day Off a good Arc in NTE?
Yes, especially for a free S-Rank Arc. Day Off provides a strong ATK boost along with Ultimate Energy regeneration.
Can you miss the Day Off Arc permanently?
No. The quest is not permanently missable, so you can simply start it whenever you come across Eclipse at the BaC Headquarters later in the game.
After completing the mission and obtaining the arc in NTE, one question remains: will this hidden quest eventually connect to a much bigger storyline later in NTE? Comment below to let us know your thoughts.
