It’s not easy being an actor, especially not for someone who sits at the top of the food chain in the Hollywood industry and has been there for quite a while. Thus, when allegations, revelations, and the actions of industry icon Will Smith were talked about in a negative light, the fame he once held in delight was coming to bite him back.
Therefore, as he now seeks to balance his life with all the problems he’s now facing, he has opened up about the struggles that come with fame. In a recent panel, the star talked about fame being both a good and a bad thing and advised new and existing stars in the industry to tread carefully as it can even ruin their personal lives.
Will Smith Gets Candid About the Good and Bad of Fame
His recent life was pushed into turmoil following the gay affair allegations that Will Smith was recently accused of by his former manager and friend Brother Bilaal, where it was revealed that the star was seen having intercourse with his fellow star Duane Martin. But everyone knows how his life went downhill after the infamous Slapgate incident in 2022.
Thus, the actor had a lot to say when it came to handling the fame he had amassed over decades in the industry.

In his recent appearance as one of the panel guests at the Red Sea International Film Festival held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (via Deadline), the Aladdin star opened up about how fame was a fickle mistress, that may one day turn on the individual it made into a star. He also said that when people are praising you, just don’t get ahead of yourself, stay humble as much as possible, and be ready for the worst if it ever comes.
“Fame is a unique monster and I’ve had to be really careful. You can’t get excited when everybody is saying good things about you because the more you take when people are saying good things, the more hurt you’re going to be when people are saying bad things about you.”
Along with the aforementioned situations, people are also looking at him with confusion since his wife Jada Smith recently revealed that they have been living separate lives from each other since 2016.

What’s Next For Will Smith?
In the same panel appearance, the star also mentioned that he was actually in talks with Michael B. Jordan to get him on board for the sequel of I Am Legend that is in the works.
He said that despite the ending of the original film, which was a very conclusive end for the film, there actually was an alternate ending in the DVD releases that followed. Thus, building off on that plot point, the sequel of the film will be made in accordance.
