P Diddy in Rush Hour 4 With Player 001 From Squid Game Season 2 Is the Last Thing One Would Have Expected

The Rush Hour film series has delivered epically over the years, both with the action as well as the comedy, even if the critics weren’t all appeased. But that series of hilarious events ended with the third film, and Rush Hour 4 has been nothing short of a myth ever since. But even for this unmade film, one really epic parody trailer made its way to the screens.

Surprisingly enough, this one starred P Diddy in the lead, and co-partnering him was none other than Player 001 from the smash-hit Squid Game season 2, Byung-Hun Lee. But even though the trailer has been made for entertainment purposes only, it’s actually so out of the box with its ridiculousness that it could leave fans wheezing with laughter at its unexpectedness.

A Rush Hour 4 with P Diddy and Lee Byung-Hun?

While the fourth installment from the Rush Hour film series never got to make its way to the big screens, a parody trailer of the same did. This one featured the now-disgraced music mogul Sean Combs aka P Diddy as Detective Carter, who ‘plays by his own rules,’ and Player 001 from Squid Game season 2 Lee Byung-Hun as Detective Lee, who is ‘a master from the East.’

But while these are the roles they don in the beginning, things take a mysteriously confusing turn when the ambassador’s daughter gets kidnapped and the ransom money being demanded is $50 million. Though Diddy’s Carter is all willing and set to work alone again, he gets commanded by the Korean ambassador to work with Lee as he is a bit too ‘reckless.’

And while teaming up is one thing, the perplexing part caves in when the two have to ‘switch faces.’ Like in Face/Off? Yes, exactly. A Rush Hour and Face/Off universe crossover starring Diddy and Lee in the lead as two detectives, who end up swapping their faces, bodies, and even voices with each other.

Justifying why this is necessary, their Chief tells them:

Choi has profiled every one of our detectives. Your anonymity is compromised. He’ll recognize either one of your faces in a second.

Apparently, swapping their faces with each other would help bring back their anonymity. As ridiculous as that is, this ends up interchanging their characters, with Combs now playing Lee while Lee plays his character, Carter.

If this wasn’t enough, “this mismatched duo has to overcome their differences and walk a mile in each other’s faces” as they go on the rescue mission. Hilariously enough, when they reach Choi, who has kidnapped the ambassador’s daughter, even he has the same question as them as he asks, “I already know both of your faces, so how does changing them work?

Baffling enough at the ridiculously confounding storyline yet? Well, prepare to be left even more confused because when they finally confront Choi and ask him to hand over the ambassador’s daughter, he takes off his mask to reveal that he is actually the Chief, played by Richard Tyson. This builds up for a beyond-comical set-up, and fans have some really epic reactions to the same.

Fans react to Rush Hour 4 parody trailer

On the one hand, while the trailer in itself is more than enough to have fans cringing and roaring with laughter at the same time, what’s even funnier than this are all the reactions fans have to this parody trailer. This stands especially true while considering how fans are reacting to it in light of the recent turn of events amidst the ever-raging Diddy controversy.
