Oda Fans Can Stream the New One Piece Spin-off for Free on YouTube

After months and months of waiting, the One Piece anime series by Toei Animation is finally returning with the second part of the much-anticipated Egghead Island arc that is quite crucial to the story. The upcoming episodes are rumored to be even better than the previous ones in terms of animation, story flow, character progression, etc.

However, this is not the only good news that fans received from the One Piece franchise recently. According to reports, the One Piece spin-off manga series written and illustrated by Daiki Ihara, Koisuru One Piece is also getting an anime adaptation that fans will be able to stream for free. It will be a vertical short anime adaptation that will portray the story from the manga in reel format.

Thus, the series will be available on platforms like YouTube (shorts), Instagram, and TikTok. It is an intriguing plot that began serialization on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ in 2018 and was quite popular for portraying characters that have similar names as the main characters from the original One Piece series by Eiichiro Oda.

Fans finally get Koisuru One Piece anime for free

Some big announcements were made at the AnimeJapan 2025 event on Saturday that were connected to the One Piece franchise and the renewal of the anime series. Along with that, it was pointed out that Koisuru One Piece will be getting anime episodes in the form of shorts that will stream from April 1 to April 5 every day on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

While the spin-off manga series started in 2018, it came to an end in 2021 and was a nice twist that connected to the original One Piece story. The series focuses on a bunch of characters who are in love with Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece and this love acts as a common element between the main characters, who share similar names to the original Straw Hat Pirates.

There are characters like Luffy Yamamoto, Nami Koyama, Usopp Nakatsugawa, etc. and the twist is that Nami is actually in love with Luffy in the manga spin-off series. The anime shorts series is being produced by Miki Kobayashi and it is being directed by Yu Kamatani and Hazuki Omoya.

Other major developments in the One Piece franchise

Aside from the official announcement about the One Piece manga spin-off series getting an adaptation, the event also revealed the release dates of the new One Piece episodes from the original series that will portray the second part of the Egghead Island arc. The series will get a special recap episode of the previous events of the Egghead arc on April 5 and from there on, the new journey will begin.

Immediately after the release of the recap episode, the first episode of Egghead Island Part 2 will be available for streaming and the second episode will be released the next day, on April 6. Also, the timeslots of the upcoming episodes have also been changed and now part two of Egghead Island in One Piece will stream the episodes at 10:15 a.m. EDT.

The upcoming series will also get a new opening and ending theme song. The opening theme song will be performed by GRe4N BOYZ and the ending theme will be performed by muque. All of these exciting developments are indications that 2025 is going to be a big year for One Piece, and thus, fans should get excited for it.
