I Like One Piece’s Nami, Emily Rudd Even More After Learning She Enjoyed Pénta Beating Dominik on WWE RAW

Emily Rudd, who is famous for her portrayal of Nami from One Piece live-action, is hands down one of my favorite actresses. She is not only committed to her work, specifically as a part of the One Piece franchise, but is also a very cool person whom anyone would love outside of the big screen.
She is an avid anime enjoyer who understands the feelings of a fan, and that aspect is very obvious from her work in One Piece. Rudd managed to capture the soul of Nami to a great extent and rose to fame for that.
However, recently, she posted something on Instagram where we got a look at her personal life a bit more closely. This factor has definitely made me like her even more than ever before.
One Piece’s Emily Rudd is a true fangirl herself
If you think that Emily Rudd just happened to be selected for Nami, then you are wrong, as she has previously mentioned how deeply she was connected to the world of anime. She grew up watching iconic shows like Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, etc.
Not only that, when she first heard that One Piece was going to have a live-action, she relentlessly tried to be cast as Nami. She even manifested this aspect so much that she went to great lengths to prepare for the role for three years.
A post by Twitter user Philazora reveals how Emily Rudd came clean about her long-term planning.
“One Piece is one of my favorite manga and I’ve always felt drawn to Nami in particular. When I heard they were making a live-action series, I started not-so-secretly playing the long game in lobbying for this role for three years.”
Her dedication to the role makes her selection even more worth it because she is someone who actually understands the character she is playing. She is also unlike any actor who just lives her life like a movie, as she seems to enjoy the little things that we all love.
Emily Rudd’s Instagram showcases her interest in WWE
In a recent Instagram post that Emily Rudd posted about a bunch of things, we get a more intimate look at her life. It seemed she enjoyed pottery and could whip up some pretty nice bowls. She also seemed interested in the iconic song The Last Unicorn by the legendary British American rock band America.
However, the most notable fact was her interest in WWE RAW, as she is seen enjoying the very entertaining fight between Pénta and Dominik. Pénta, who is legendary for his excellent matches, was seen dramatically beating Dominik, who also held pretty great on his own in the match.
Fans have been raving about this match and just how fun it was to see both Pénta and Dominik inside the ring. Now, the fact that Emily Rudd also enjoyed this moment, that too, in a live stadium, makes her more relatable than ever before.
She is definitely a Hollywood star, but at the same time, she shares and enjoys common interests that make her seem just like us. Thankfully, she will return soon as our beloved Nami for the second season of One Piece live-action.
Watch One Piece live-action on Netflix.
