Michael B Jordan’s ‘Sinners’ Co-star Miles Caton Wants to Join the MCU as 1 Character Who’ll Give Tom Holland a Run For His Money

After a long wait and a whole lot of hype, Sinners has finally hit the screen, and well, it was worth it. While the film brought back the ever-electric Michael B. Jordan, reminding us why he’s a beast in front of the camera, it also handed the spotlight to a fresh face who’s quickly becoming the name on everyone’s lips, and that is Miles Caton.
He completely and utterly impressed viewers with his skills, and now he’s setting his sights on playing one of the hottest Spider-Man versions out there, Miles Morales. If his performance in Sinners is any indication, he would absolutely crush it. And could seriously give Tom Holland a run for his money once he steps into the live-action world.
Sinners breakout star Miles Caton has his sights set on live-action Miles Morales!
Move over, Peter Parker, there’s another Spider-Man waiting in the wings, and his name is Miles… Caton.
That’s right, the 20-year-old multi-talent who just made his big-screen debut in Sinners isn’t just stealing the spotlight right now, he’s setting his sights on swinging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as none other than Miles Morales, the fan-favorite Spidey from the comics, animated films, and video games.
Morales is sort of the cooler, fresher Spider-Man of Gen Z, so no offense to Peter Parker, but Miles Morales is THE Spider-Man of the future. And honestly, Caton might be the perfect guy for the job. In a recent chat with Variety, Caton revealed,
Before, my main thing was music and just being an artist. But now, having this under my belt, I feel like I don’t have to limit myself to just one thing. I feel like I can accomplish whatever I want to. So, I’m looking to get into some more acting roles.
Expanding on what kind of movies he’s most inclined toward, he said,
I love comedy. Action. Adventure. I’m a big Marvel fan. Marvel, that’s top of the top, so shooting for the stars.
And when Variety asked who he’d specifically like to play, his answer was plain and simple,
I mean, my name is Miles…
Tom Holland has already made it clear that he is totally on board with seeing Miles Morales join the MCU. While Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently in development, there’s been no official word yet on whether Miles will show up. Still, fans are crossing their fingers for this crossover to happen desperately!
It might be a bit of a stretch for now, but the excitement is real. And with all the buzz around Sinners star Miles Caton, some fans think the stars might be aligning.
Miles Caton has fans completely hooked!
Before he even had his high school diploma, Miles Caton was already racking up co-signs from gospel legends like Fred Hammond, Faith Evans, Erica Campbell, and even Bishop T.D. Jakes. Oscar and Grammy winner H.E.R. also brought him on tour.
A true child prodigy, Caton is the son of gospel singer Timiney Figueroa and has been performing since he could barely walk. His powerhouse vocals aren’t just impressive, they’re otherworldly, which is exactly what made him the perfect pick for Sinners.
In the film, Caton plays Sammie, a young sharecropper and son of a local preacher who dreams of becoming a blues musician. When Michael B. Jordan’s twin characters recruit him to perform at their juke joint, his supernatural musical gift kicks off a chain of eerie events.
It’s a complex role that demands both soul-shaking vocals and serious acting chops, basically, not an easy gig to cast. But Caton absolutely delivered. And fans haven’t been able to stop talking about him. Here is what people on X are saying,
