Blake Lively’s Dragon Text is Not the Only Reason Why Taylor Swift Was Subpoenaed by Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer: It Ends With Us Lawsuit

Blake Lively’s lawsuit is causing more and more harm to her career as the months go by. While her public image was completely ruined a few months ago when the suits were being filed by her and Justin Baldoni, now that the court proceedings are actually beginning, her credibility could be ruined in a much more official manner.
While her reputation is completely destroyed at this point, she doesn’t seem to be going down alone, with Ryan Reynolds and Colleen Hoover going down with her. Interestingly enough, Justin Baldoni seems to be trying to bring another person down. Even though Taylor Swift didn’t have much involvement in the production of It Ends With Us, she has been subpoenaed by his legal team.
With this in mind, one cannot help but wonder what reason Baldoni could have to ask her to come in for the case.
Taylor Swift’s strained friendship with Blake Lively may be tested again
When Taylor Swift was originally brought into the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuits, it was under quite bizarre contexts. Even though Lively and the singer have been friends for many years, this changed when it was revealed that the former called herself Khaleesi from Game of Thrones and Swift one of her dragons.
Naturally, this caused a lot of tension between their fan bases, and rumors sparked that Swift was taking a step back from her friendship with Lively for some time. However, this didn’t seem like enough grounds to bring Swift into the legal proceedings and make her a part of the trial.
However, Baldoni’s team has done exactly that, having been subpoenaed to be a part of the trial, according to TMZ. Being a part of such a public conflict in relation to the seemingly losing side could be catastrophic for Swift’s image, specifically as she is at the top of her game as an artist.
With this in mind, fans cannot help but wonder what reason Baldoni’s team has to bring her into the courts, and it does not seem credible enough.
Does Justin Baldoni have enough to bring Taylor Swift into court?
Taylor Swift’s beloved and painful song, ‘My Tears Ricochet,‘ was played in It Ends With Us, making many wonder if that could be the reason why she is being involved in the lawsuit. However, there were 19 other artists who were a part of the soundtrack of the film, making this unlikely.
Baldoni’s team is claiming that Swift had a lot more influence on the production of the film than she is being credited for. According to TMZ, it has been claimed that she was directly responsible for the hiring of actress Isabela Ferrer, who played the role of young Lily Bloom in the film.
In addition to this, they also claimed that during a heated meeting at Blake Lively’s New York home, Baldoni felt cornered because of Ryan Reynolds also being there. He also claimed that after some time, Swift showed up at the scene, causing him to bring her into the conversation and lawsuit. Swift’s representatives have spoken against this, claiming that her only involvement in the film was licensing one of her songs, something that is done very frequently.
Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.
They claimed that she had not seen the film or any footage until a few weeks after it was released and did not have any involvement in it because of the Eras Tour. They also added that the subpoena is an attempt to use Swift’s name to get more attention, recognition, or credibility. It is safe to say that the situation is getting more and more complicated.
