ABC’s comedy series Shifting Gears is returning for a second season on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT. New episodes will also be available for streaming the following day on Hulu, allowing fans to catch up on demand.
The highly anticipated sophomore season picks up after the first season’s dramatic cliffhanger, with new conflicts, family tensions, and unexpected alliances. Fans can expect a similar heartfelt character drama with fast-paced storytelling that made fans fall in love in the first place.

In the upcoming season, we can expect some major character arcs, especially for Riley. Given that Riley is now divorced with two grown-up kids, she will have to rediscover her personality and find her way back to her own self.

Fans in the U.S. can watch Shifting Gears Season 2 live on ABC every Wednesday night during its primetime slot. For those who prefer streaming, each new episode will be uploaded to Hulu the following day.
