Robert Pattinson Lies About His Old Roommates Andrew Garfield and Charlie Cox, Gets Caught Red Handed

Die My Love stars Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence appeared for Vanity Fair’s lie detector test, and the actress knew exactly what to ask her co-star.

While questioning Pattinson, Lawrence brought up the time when he was starting out in Hollywood and living with some of the best actors of our time – Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Sturridge, Jamie Dornan, and Charlie Cox.

When asked if they were “all good roommates“, Pattinson clarified that he has only lived with Sturridge, while the rest of them “kind of all hung out together.” He added, “I think all of the other guys lived together in LA and we kind of all hung out.

Then Lawrence dropped the bomb: “Would you say that you’re more talented than all of them?” Being the humble man he is, Pattinson quickly replied, “No, absolutely not“, only for the lie detector test to catch him being dishonest.

Everyone from Garfield to Cox is an exceptional actor, proving why they belong on top of the list with each project they sign on to. However, there’s no harm in Pattinson being confident in his work!

Robert Pattinson’s Audition Hack With Old Roommate

Redmayne, Pattinson, Cox, Garfield, Sturridge, Dornan – who wouldn’t want to be a part of this bunch? As the actors navigated their way through the industry, they made a ton of memories together.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Redmayne revealed one of these anecdotes. He revealed that Pattinson and Sturridge had a little hack for standing out in auditions: by doing exactly the opposite of what they had been asked to.

Redmayne recalled,

Each of us had our own audition technique. And Rob and Tom’s was always like whatever the scene appears to be on the page, you do the complete opposite. And so I would be sitting outside, and I thought it was a quiet, intimate scene, and I just hear sort of shrieks inside the room.

He added, “We’re basically all desperately trying to find our way to like stand out from the crowd.” Well, whatever they were doing sure worked out for the best. Pattinson recently starred in Mickey 17 and Die My Love after playing the literal Batman. He will soon be seen in a variety of movies, including The Drama, The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three, and more.

As for Sturridge, he was recently seen in Netflix’s fantasy series, The Sandman, where he played the role of Lord Dream / Morpheus. He will next appear in The Revisionist and The Man I Love.

Sturridge and Pattinson have been through thick and thin. As per the Independent, they have known each other since they were thirteen years old, after meeting at the Harrodian School.

The Chronology of Water actor stated, “I went to school with my best friend. We’ve been at school since we were 13 so that’s why he’s my friend.” However, he denied the idea that Pattinson had anything to do with his success.

Being best friends with Pattinson, Sturridge was apparently approached by Kristen Stewart, who hoped to rekindle things with her ex after the scandal, and he was the perfect medium to do so.

A source stated (via First Post), “She wants to have a private conversation with Tom and try and convince him how sorry she is and how she wants Rob back. She is more concerned with her conversation with Tom than with the premiere of On The Road.”

According to the Irish Central, Pattinson is the godfather of Sturridge’s niece, who was born to his sister, Matilda, in 2011. Pattinson got the title at the young age of 25. Now, that’s a bromance if we have ever seen one!
