Why Fans Blame P Diddy for 2 Pac and Biggie’s Death After 50 Cent’s Netflix Documentary

50 Cent just came out with an explosive docuseries about the allegations against Diddy, who is currently serving his sentence behind bars. With a total of four episodes, the documentary series is proving to be extremely eye-opening for viewers, who are now convinced that Diddy had something to do with the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., aka Biggie.

During episode two, a few of the former Bad Boy Records employees/artists opened up about the tragic killings, alluding to the fact that Sean “Diddy” Combs was involved in both.

Combs’ team released a statement denouncing Sean Combs: The Reckoning, calling it a “shameful hit piece” against the imprisoned rapper. Spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told USA Today, “Many of the people featured have longstanding personal grievances, financial motives, or credibility issues that have been documented for years.”

Engelmayer added that many of the stories shown in the documentary have already been addressed in court, while others “were never raised in any legal forum because they’re simply not true.”

In a statement to Business Insider, Engelmayer slammed Netflix for “ripping private footage out of context“, which includes conversations with Combs’ lawyers that were never meant to be public. On the other hand, director Alex Stapleton claims that she obtained everything legally.

The Reckoning: Did Diddy Place a Bounty on Tupac?

In the second episode, Bad Boy Records’ co-founder Kirk Burrowes opened up about the killings of Tupac and Biggie. The episode discusses the rivalry between Combs’ label and Suge Knight’s Death Row Records, where Tupac was signed.

Viewers see how the East-West rivalry got out of hand after interviewees claimed in the documentary that it had nothing to do with the artists, but the executives, especially Combs.

The documentary claims that the label war turned into a gang war with Combs at the center of it all and connected to drug boss Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who is awaiting trial for the murder of 2Pac.

As per recordings and commentary from former LAPD detective Greg Kading, Davis could be heard talking about how he and his nephew, Orlando Anderson, carried out Shakur’s murder. Davis claims that Combs had paid him and other gang members to get rid of Shakur and Knight, who was also in the car. The money never came.

Burrowes made a bold claim in the documentary, stating, “I think that Sean now in my mature mind had a lot to do with the death of Tupac.

In the documentary, Kading alleges, “It’s really Keffe D and Puffy Combs are the last men standing.” As per Netflix, Davis was offered a mitigated sentencing if he cooperated with the law during a proffer session, with the assurance that self-incriminating information would not be used against him.

The taped session is shown in the documentary, in which Davis can be seen claiming that Combs had announced that he’d give anything for Knight and Shakur’s deaths, a year before the fatal shooting. He also claimed that Comb offered a million dollars’ worth of bounty for the deaths.

After the shooting, everyone at Bad Boy knew that it was unsafe to be in Los Angeles. However, Combs was adamant that they go anyway. Despite the risk, he allegedly pushed Biggie, real name Christopher Wallace, to go to LA and promote his new album against his wishes, says Burrowes.

It was during that trip in 1997 that Wallace was fatally shot. Burrowes partly blamed Wallace’s death on Combs, stating, “He ushered Biggie to his death“, adding that the industry mogul later lied, saying that it was Wallace’s desire and idea to be in LA, not his.

After Wallace’s death, Burrowes alleges that Combs was determined to throw the “biggest funeral for Biggie New York has ever seen.” The co-founder added that when Combs figured out how much it would cost him, he took a step back and turned the funeral into a recoupable charge to Biggie Smalls, making his estate pay the price.

The documentary touches on many other parts of Combs’ life and the allegations against him, including the infamous Freak Offs and his relationship with Cassie Ventura.
