Genshin Impact Version 6.7 Release Date, Time, and Global Countdown

Genshin Impact Version 6.7 is almost here! Titled Luna VIII, the new update brings one of the biggest updates and last updates of the Song of the Welkin Moon storyline. We are finally getting Sandrone as a playable 5-star Cryo Claymore character, and we’re also getting the long-awaited Moon as a permanent explorable region.

Of course, the update also includes new events, banners, character outfits, and quality-of-life improvements. The update will be released on July 1, 2026 (UTC+8) after scheduled server maintenance by HoYoverse. Here’s everything you need to know about the release date, maintenance schedule, and what to expect once Version 6.7 goes live.

HoYoverse has scheduled Genshin Impact Version 6.7 for July 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM (UTC+8). As with previous major patches, servers are expected to undergo approximately five hours of maintenance before players can log in.

For players in North America, the update will become available on the evening of June 30, while most European and Asian regions will receive it on July 1. Here is a list of launch times for all major time zones across the world.

The maintenance window is expected to begin five hours before these launch times. We can expect HoYoverse to finish maintenance on schedule or even earlier, but unexpected delays are possible. If maintenance extends beyond the planned duration, we can expect to get additional Primogem compensation.

Everything New in Genshin Impact Version 6.7

Version 6.7 will finally bring the debut of Sandrone, the Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers, who joins the roster as a 5-star Cryo Claymore user. She will be the featured character in the Phase 1 Character Event Wish alongside a rerun for Citlali, while Columbina and Raiden Shogun return during Phase 2.

The update also introduces a new Lightrace Wish banner featuring returning 5-star characters including Yae Miko, Cyno, Wriothesley, Qiqi, and Mizuki, together with their signature weapons.

Players will also gain access to The Moon, a permanent new explorable area outside Teyvat featuring multiple locations such as ancient ruins, lunar research facilities, and other mysterious landmarks tied to the ongoing story.

Other major additions in Version 6.7 include:

  • Sunny Summer Fontinalia, the flagship event that rewards players with a free Charlotte and her exclusive outfit.
  • New events include Final Long-Range Sightlines, Dance Dance Easy-Breezy Disco, and the return of Ley Line Overflow.
  • A new 5-star Claymore, A Teaspoon of Transcendence, released alongside Sandrone.
  • A premium outfit for Citlali and a free event skin for Charlotte.
  • Various gameplay optimizations and quality-of-life improvements.

Players who want to jump in as soon as servers reopen can also preload the update. According to HoYoverse, the preload download is approximately 7 GB on PC and 2 GB on mobile, though additional voice packs may require extra storage.
